EU RES policy

Since January 2007, with the launch of the climate and energy package, the EU has made progress in mainstreaming its energy policy into its climate policy, setting targets for energy efficiency (non-binding), renewables (binding), as well as greenhouse gas emissions (also binding). The energy targets help to define some of the policies and measures the EU will need to effect to ensure that it can achieve its climate goals.

Electricity from renewable energy sources
Renewable transport fuels
Renewable Heating and Cooling
EU Biomass Action Plan
